Grief and grieving, especially in context of longer-term limitations and decline, present challenges to both faith and practice of contemporary, liberal, unprogrammed Friends. In now long gone days, Friends would have all been experienced at providing spiritual and emotional support to one another in the face of chronic illness and bereavement. Now, for most of us, these are skills we need to learn. As a community together we can improve our abilities to support one another with tender care.
